Hi everyone, welcome to my website.
My name is Briana Mills and I’m a registered licensed marriage and family therapist. I graduated with a masters in science in 2019 at California State University, Northridge.
I was born with a rare muscle disease called muscular dystrophy, which causes me to have to use a wheelchair. I specialize in working with disabled and chronically ill people, as well LGBTQ. I also specialize in trauma and am certified in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
I know how difficult it can be to navigate through a world that wasn’t built with you in mind. That comes with its own set of obstacles and challenges that may feel extremely isolating.
I want to let you know that you’re not alone. There are many others struggling with a lot of the same feelings and issues as you are.
Taking that first big step to get help is a huge way of giving yourself the compassion and understanding you need. I’m here when you’re ready!
Let's make a space that's safe and inclusive for you. While I specialize in treating members of the disabled and LGBTQ communities, everyone is welcome!
Let's focus on empowerment. Finding support is a huge first step, so I'm already proud of you! You can do this.
Email me to schedule a time to speak with me. You will get to know me, while I learn about you.
You're a survivor. I'm a survivor too. Therapy helps us express and understand our emotions and experiences.
